How To Set up Email in Outlook 2007

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007. From the Tools menu, select Account Settings.
  2. Click New.
  3. Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and then click Next.
  4. Enter Your NameE-mail AddressPassword, and password confirmation.
  5. At the bottom, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and clickNext.
  6. Select Internet E-mail, and click Next.
  7. Select either IMAP or POP3 for your Account Type. Use these settings for your incoming and outgoing servers, depending on the type of email you have:
    POP3
    Incoming mail serverpop.domainname.com
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP)smtpout.domainname.com
    IMAP
    Incoming mail serverimap.domainname.com
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP)smtpout.domainname.com
  8. Enter Your Name and full E-mail Address.
  9. Enter your User Name (your full email address) and Password, and select Remember password.
  10. Click More Settings.
  11. Click the Outgoing Server tab. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authenticationand Use same settings as my incoming server.
  12. Select the Advanced tab.
  13. Next to Outgoing Server (SMTP), type 80.
  14. Optional: If you’re setting up a POP3 account, under Delivery, select Leave a Copy of Messages on the Server.
  15. Click OK.
  16. Click Next, and then click Finish
